H1B Amendment needed or not in my scenario??????????????

Hi,

I have applied for L1B to H1B cos last year with employer A, client A. However, client is now changed to B and I am planning to go to INDIA and need to go for stamping.

Q1 : Do I need to file for an amendment to update the client?

Q2: If I don't file amendment and go to INDIA for stamping, what is the risk? I have the current client letter and all other documentation needed. any risk for only not changing the client in petition?

Please suggest.

If location or role has changed I would say yes, you need a new LCA and amendment.

If Client's location does not match your H1B location it can be an issue.
