H1 available but didnt travel to US

Hi,

I had H1 visa stamped but never visited US. Now I had changed the employer. Is it possible to transfer the H1 to the new employer ? Is this legal ? Can someone please advice on the process involved for the transfer if possible.

USCIS encourages employers to inform about issued H1 but not used. In that case, you need to find out status whether it is valid or revoked.

H1 transfers are possible only when the person is actually on H1B status. In your case, as you never used your old H1B, transfer is not possible.
