My name is Rahul. I am currently employed with infosys on h1b visa. Now I got an offer with company ABC, and they started my H1 transfer process on premium. They got the H1B receipt at which point I decided not to quit my current company. I asked ABC to withdraw their petition and that I won't be able to join them. They are kind of forcing me to join them and I don't know if they withdrew the petition or not. Now, I have a couple of questions.
1. If they withdraw the petition after getting the receipt, will they get their money back from USCIS?
2. How much does it actually cost to file a H1 transfer on premium (I know 1255 is what it takes). I need to know including all kind of costs.
3. I have signed the offer letter with them and a few non-disclosure agreements with the client. I don't think there is any particular clause in any of them which binds me to company ABC. So, now is they file a lawsuit or something, what kind of trouble I am expecting?
