    Urgent - Time left on H1, left US 3 yrs back

    Plz answer as i am in a bit of panicking mode. When i came back from US 3 yrs back, i had 1.5 yrs left on h1b (incl. 2nd extn.)
    Now we are planning to go to US again. Of course, my stamp and petition are invalid now. How can i reclaim my 18 months? Can some employer still take up my petition and send me for fresh stamping?
    I am confused as i am hearing conflicting things. If it helps, i had switched employers 6 months before i.e. in September 2011. When i left US in May 2012, I had 1.5 yrs left on my visa.

    Can someone please chime in? Has anyone left US and then returned on same h1 after few years?

      Yes your next employer can file a cap exempt petition and try to reclaim the remainder term.
