Hi,
I am on an OPT Stem extension currently that got over last week. While my company has applied for H1b. I also wanted to pursue 1 more MS degree and thought it would be wise to apply for college just incase I do not get picked up for H1B this year. I applied and I have the admission letter. Now the new school want to transfer my i20 from my old school. My company says that , their cheque got processed for my application and this indicates, I was picked up this year H1B.
My options are
1.Continue with the transfer of my i20 and once the H1B , i can shift to H1B
2. Do allow the transfer of i20 and work on cap gap extension and transfer to H1B once I get ?
If I choose option 1, I will be on a new F1. Will this affect my H1B results ( considering that my cheque got picked , although I have not got any verification number ) ?
Can i at a later stage, transfer from new F1 to H1B ? I am currently located in US.
