H1 validity starts Nov14, but I want to delay travel/work in US only in May'15.

I got H1 stamped with validity from Nov2014 for a 3 year period. But due to unforseen circumstances it seems I will not be able to travel to US till mid-May'15.

Also Do I will lose this 3-year period or My period will start when i enter US ?

Can someone advise me the implications to me / employer ?
