Need advice on Visa stamping -spouse name removal

I recently got selected in H1 New cap 2016 lottery.And...I got divorced 2 months back.Spouse name is present in my current passport and in my son's passport under father name/legal guardian.
My worry is,since I am divorced now,whether retaining the father name will create issues while taking Visa or in further travel process for my son ?

I have divorce certificate ,so if I try to remove the names in both our passports,new passports will be given to both of us.Hence,whether it will create problem in Visa stamping,as the lottery result was for old passport details?
Or should I wait until stamping is done for both of us?I need genuine advice on this please....

I would say remove the name in the passports and then go for stamping. The lottery/petition result was tied to you as a person not only to a name, one is always allowed to change ones name, and still use the H1 petition approved in an earlier name.
