H4 Extension while H1B is in process

Please let me know is there any impact to my H1B in above two cases.

Case 1: If H4 approved on or before 10-01-2015 and approved H1B starts from 10-01-2015 irrespective of H1B approved date.
Case 2: If H4 approved after 10-01-2015 and approved H1B starts from 10-01-2015 irrespective of H1B approved date..


Please provide your inputs on below questions.

Usually How much time takes for H4 Extension approval?
My Spouse H1 Extesion has been submitted on Apr 9th.Under Process. In this case whether my H4 Extension will approved in less time.?
H4 Extension Can be applied by our own instead our employer?
In Case we have to withdraw H4 extension, Only employer can withdraw or myself can withdraw it?

1.There is no premium processing for dependent visas hence its very difficult to put a time bound limit on it. It generally takes 1-3 Months.
2. Was your H4 processed along with H1 extension, if yes, there is chances that it will happen together, but whether it will happen faster or not depends upon if H1 extension itself was file din premium or if there are any RFE for it.
3. Yes it can be applied independently.
4. If your I-94 has already expired, then withdrawing H4 extension would make you out of status.
