H1 validity for travel as dependent.

Hi,
I got H1B visa last year 2014. However I no longer work in the company through which I got my visa.
Recently my wife also got H1B from her company. Can I travel with her using my H1B?
If not, Can a person have H1B and also file H4?

Can anyone please suggest the best option in my case?

You should not use your H1 to travel with your spouse as a dependent. At port of Entry you would be asked about your H1 sponsor, and if you say you entering as dependent without a dependent visa, you may be deported back. You should process an H4 and then travel. Yes, you can have both H1 and H4 in passport.
