Dear Forum members,
I am currently on a h1b processed through University X. However, my employment ends 31st March 2015. Therefore, I am applying for a COS to H4 (based on my wife's H1b). However, I am also interviewing with other universities who may end up offering a job for me in the next month or so, while my COS to H4 is pending with USCIS.
my questions:
1) Can the university apply for h1b while my COS to H4 from my current H1b status is pending?
2) Can I opt for the consular processing for my new H1 and travel outside of US while COS is pending and get my H1 stamped?
Hoping to get some responses as I am finding it hard to get this particular information online.
