On H4 planning india trip but H1B is approved.
I am currently on H4 visa which expires in sept,2016 while i also applied for an H1B which was approved with starting validity date as 10/01/2015. I am planning to go to India in july and return in a month but concerned if their would be any hindrances during immigration while coming back and hence the risk of getting struck at India due to the transition process. Can anyone suggest if it is ok to go ?
Also, the other day i went to the DMV office to get my lisence permit but they weren't able to approve it since the system was asking for an SSN and also showed a different Expiry date from that is on my H4 Visa and they asked me to check with INS and when i contacted the consulate they had the h4 details itself. I am confused so as to where the issue is ? And with all this I am now concerned about India trip.
