I'm engaged a few months ago, and my fiancee is in Mumbai. We are planning to get married some time coming april. We are trying to book for the Consulate appointment some them there.
I am on H1B visa ( after a status change from L1 ) , and dont have a Visa stamping. I would be going to Vancouver to get my Visa stamped this February.
We are planning to get married on 2nd April or So , by Registered Marriage.
a. I understand Mumbai consulate needs papers atleast 5 days in advance.
Going by that is it ok for me to take an appointmt. on 10th April or so ?
so that I can submit my marriage certificate as well?
b. Do you expect any issues because we are having just a Registered marriage and not a Traditional marriage ?
c. Anything else that I need to take care of ?
Please help .. All my Immigration status has been neat for all these years, and I would be able to produce all the necessary pay slips/ employment proof etc.
