Hi,

I had applied for H1B visa and have also got the petition approved. I am currently in UK (Great Britain). I had initially mentioned the location of embassy at Chennai, India. I am currently working at UK. I would like to know if I could apply for visa stamping at the US Consulate at London,UK and if so what is the process. Can I directly book an appointment or have to travel to India. I would prefer to get it done here itself in London.

Hi,
It is usually the US consulate at Home Country that is capable of verifying the Indian eductaion and work-experience letters. You can try at London, but be prepared to face a re-direction back to the consulate in India.
