H-4 to F-1 visa status change

Hi,

I am in H-4 visa in USA now. I want to apply to F-1 visa (i got admission into one of the college and waiting for the admission results from 2nd college). What will happen if i apply for change of status from 1st college and revert it and want to apply for change of status through 2nd college? Is it possible and what are the risks involved?

You are allowed to change schools while you are in F1 status. But certain careful considerations need to be made. Your SEVIS record need to be transferred from your old school to your new school. You should contact the DSO from both the schools to make this transfer smooth.
