H1B VISA Application Withdrawal

Hello,

My H1B VISA application is under 221G processing. Now my employer is willing to amend my petition to other client and location and they would like to withdraw the VISA application which is under 221G.

Now my questions are,

1. What is the procedure to withdraw the VISA application ?
2. How much time it would take for VISA application withdrawal ?
3. Is it possible to apply for petition amendment before withdrawing the VISA application ?

1. What is the procedure to withdraw the VISA application ?
>>> Write a letter to teh consulate mentioning that you would like to withdraw the visa application. Mention your full name as printed in the passport, passport number, petitioner name and petition number. Withdrawing a visa pplication is considered to be visa rejection. You need to mention that when you fill future visa applications.

2. How much time it would take for VISA application withdrawal?
>>> Hard to predict that. They are case by case basis. Most of the times it is within a month.

3. Is it possible to apply for petition amendment before withdrawing the VISA application?
>>> Yes.
