H1B Transfer - Normal Processing - Vermont Service Center

Guys,

Just wanted to share my experience:

H1B transfer petition applied via Normal Processing on 6/18/15, packet got delivered to VSC on 6/19 and I got my receipt notice today - 6/26/15. Since Premium is currently on hold till July 28th, so we are going to wait it out and see if the approval comes before then else I am planning to ask my company to change it into premium processing.

H1b transfer normal - is it ok to join new company with Receipt number?

i am also in the same boat. my H1b transferred sent to USCIS on 19-June-2015. i have not received my Receipt number yet. i am expecting next week.

My employer wants to join with Receipt number. is it safe? any suggestions welcome.

My visa expiry date is Aug 25 2015.

You are allowed to join the new employer after receiving the receipt notice. However, it is not advisable. If the transfer gets denied, you will be in trouble.

I am in the same boat now and would like to know how many months or days it took for your H1B transfer approval (Assuming you filed in regular process).

COuld you please let me know. This will help me to plan my things.
