Changing status from H4 to H1

Hi Immihelp,

I had an H1 visa valid till 2008. recently I changed my visa to H4.Now if I want to convert back to H1 again will I be coming under each coming years visa cap(means will I have to wait for the next years 65000 available visas) or am I eligible to change at any time.your advise is expected.thanks.

No, you are counted against the quota only once, so you will not be subject to the quota till the time your total H time is < 6 years. After that, it is a case of reapplication after 1 year and then you will have to go through the quota again

I am currently on H4 recently my stamping is done on JAN 5.
I need ahelp from you after i went to US I want to change to H1.
I am doing Engeering in Electronics final year.

Please suggest me how what is the process to convert H4 to H1.
