Can I have L2 as my H1 process is ongoing?

Hi..I got my H1 petition approved in June' 2015 and waiting for my H1 visa stamping. Meanwhile my husband is getting his L1 from his company. Can I get L2 along with him while my H1 process is ongoing?

If yes, will L2 be valid after H1 stamping is done? Will I be able to travel on L2 to meet my husband if it remains valid after H1 stamping incase my employer doesn't send me on H1 for sometime? Will it be risky going for H1 stamping after having L2?

>>> No. L2 will be cancelled when you apply for H1B stamping.

>>> If it remains valid, then yes. But the chances of that happening is very slim.

>>> The risk is, your L2 visa will be cancelled when you apply H1B visa. So if you want to travel in L2 after H1B stamping, then you need to get L2 stamped again (That time, H1B visa [not the petition] will be cancelled).
