Need help on H1B and H4 Stamping

Hi,

I got my visa transferred to Company B in April, 2015. My new petition is valid until 2018. Before H1B Transfer, I went to India on vacation in January and got my H1B stamped with company A and came back with my wife. Now my H1B visa is valid until 30 Sep, 2016 and my I797 (through company B) is valid until 2018. My Wife's H4 is also valid until 30 Sep, 2016.

1. I'm planning to visit India this year in October. I would like to get my H1B stamped so that my visa is also extended upto 2018 and to be on safer side. Can I schedule appointment for me and my wife together? Will there be any issue if we go for stamping together? I have all paper work, for Ex. new and previous I797, Employment verification letter, passport etc. I'm directly working for a US based company, so there is no client involved in my case.

2. My passport is valid until June, 2018 and I797 is valid until April, 2018. I am assuming this will not cause any issue in Visa stamping. My employer will start my Green card process next year. Should I renew my passport during my visit to India this year? If I do that, how will it impact my H1B stamping.

Any help is really appreciated!

>>> Actually it is not necessary. But you can certainly do that if that is what you want.
