Visa approved by the VO but the passport tracker is showing a different status

I gave my interview on 2nd July in New delhi. My interview lasted for a minute and on enquiring, the VO told me that my visa has been approved. Now when I check the status of my passport, it says under Administrative processing. What does that mean? Has any one encountered something like this before? Does the Visa office take time to change the status? Thanks

Hey i had my interview on july1.got my pp today.howevwr on ceac it still shws under administrative processing today.so dnt worry. .you will get a message soon. Good luck

Thanks buddy. I know the consulate is closed due to the Independence day. I am just hoping to receive the message or even my passport on Monday. Anyone else has the same issue?

i am stuck in the same situation. appeared for an interview at mumbai on July 6th. CEAC website shows administrative processing and wait is on. let me know if you have received passport with stamped visa.
