Hi,
I am a H1B holder and have extended my visa once. My 2nd extension is approved and stamping dates are awaited. I got married a month back and my wife would be accompanying me for stamping interview this time.
In my passport, my Surname is M YYYY X V YYYY while in my marriage certificate, the initials are not expanded - they are M V - My first name is same in both these documents. The discrepancy arouse because, apart from my passport, all other indian legal docs like voter's id card, driving license, etc my name is as per my marriage certificate.
My name (as per marriage certificate) is added to 'Spouse Name' column in my wife's passport. But, her name is not added as spouse name in my passport (I believe, this is not required - Please, correct me if I am wrong).
Question - Is there any risk in my wife's H4 visa approved in this scenario?
