H1 B 221(g), But asked me to pay the fee

Hi All,

Yesterday(06-Jan-2006), i have attended my H1B Interview at chennai. Interview went fine. As i am going to work as a contractor for YYYY Client through my consultant, VO asked whether i have any invitation letter from the client, i said as i am going to work as a contractor. Then he picked one blue form and tickes some 2 check boxes, browsed some 10 mins and then asked me couple of questions. Then he handed over all my certificates, 221(g) is also there in the certificates. Then he said go to counter no 1 and pay the fee. My passport, DS-156 and DS-157 are with him.

He didn't say anything to me, whether i need to submit the docs mentioned in 221(g).

I paid the fee and returned.

Guys, can you please tell me what will happen to my case? is visa granted? is there any one who faced similar situation?

i think, ur visa is granted

you have paid visa issuance fee, which means that visa is issued.
just think in this way, suppose if they refuse you now, how do they return the money to you. i havent heard so far that consulate refused visa after getting visa issuance fee and returned the money ..
i guess may be by mistake he handed over the form.
anyway, you must be knowing it in couple of days.
