Change in Birth place in the passport ( from One country to another country) for GC

Hi,

I need to change to Birth place in the passport from India to another country ( since I was born in different country) , However I traveled to US and stayed for 6 yrs with same passport( without any change), since I am applying GC, I m willing to change the original Birth place in the passport , so that my GC process would be faster compare to India. Could you please guide

1. if it's affect me, if the Birth place in the passport and birth certificate place is different?
2. Or Can we go for correction and change Birth place in the passport?
3. If any problem in GC process if I keep in Birth place in the passport and birth certificate place without any changes ?

Please guide me ASAP, since I started my GC process and I am @ 1 stage

Why was the Birth Place not correctly mentioned in the Indian passport? You need to first get the Indian passport corrected.
