Am I in TROUBLE?

Hi friends,

I got my I-797. My I-797 is having wrong Date of Birth ( 07/21/1971 instead of 07/27/1971). I interview is date is very close to me. Will it be a problem at the visa interview(first time)?

If it is really critical, then i am planning to postpone my interview to another date. If so, how much time will it take to rectify the error with the US Government? What is the procedure?

Can any one help ASAP?

Why don't you just call INS and let them know of this? You can ask all the questions there. Seeing that stuff is so difficult in India I would make sure I have nothing wrong on my paperwork. I remember one time in Miami the DOB on my I-20 was wrong and I got pulled in to an interrogation room...

Just call INS.
