Delhi consulate kept I797

Hi

Yesterday my wife went for his H4 visa appointment at Delhi Consulate. Among all other papers of mine, she had my Original I797. She got the H4 visa but the embessy took my original I797 and did not return to her.

Could any one pls tell me if this is normal process to keep the orginal I797 or will they be returning it along with the passport thru courier service

Pls help me as i am little panicked.

Can u tell us how was her interview...And what all docs they checked ?

The lady consulate Checked the

1) Wedding photos
2) My Passport Copy with H1B visa
3) Employment Continuance letter

Thats all. The interview got finshed in 5 min
