Out of status or no?

Hello all,

I'm working with employer A until next Friday under H1B visa, while my new H1B petition with company B is getting processed with USCIS. Since I've a joining date of August 17, would I be out of status from August 8th to August 16th. Please let me know your thoughts on this matter.

Technically YES. But such a short period between jobs may not have any impact.
