Can the LCA Wage level be reduced via an Amendment?

My employer incorrectly assigned a wage level of III (3) while filing my H1.
Now I am trying to get a transfer and the attorney advised that my employer will have to give me a hike as the wage level 3 demands a very high salary in the new location.
Since my employer is not ready to do that AND since my wage level is clearly wrong (original was 1), can the wage level be reduced to 2 along with the LCA amendment for location transfer?

You employer should pay you as per the approved LCA. If not, that is illegal and you can file a complain with DOL and make the employer pay. Getting paid less than the amount specified in the approval LCA will cause issues later when you file extensions or transfer or while going for visa stamping or while filing your GC.
