Visa Interview at Mumbai Consulate

Hi friends,

This website is very useful.

I am applying for H1 visa at US consulate situated at Mumbai, can anyone tell me whether original I-129 and I-797 is required or do they accept photocopy of the same for processing.

I have heard at few consulates they accept photocopy..

Please reply asap.

I-129 original will be with USCIS. Your employer can only give you a photocopy of I-129. However, your employer is supposed to give you the original I-797. A photocopy of I-797 will work for the visa interview. However, it is advisable to carry the original. Also, carry a copy of your LCA.
