  • How long it takes to get H1B transfer receipt # when filed in PP

    Hi,

How long it takes to get H1B transfer receipt # when filed in Premium..? My new employer filed petition for H1B transfer on 08/21/2015.

I'm in the same boat. My new H1b was filed pretty much the same time. I haven't received the receipt either. My case is with the California center.

      14 days and waiting

      Hi,

I've been waiting for 14 days. My H1-B case for a transfer was upgraded to Premium Processing 14 days ago. There is no response or no RFE. No update on the site. Nothing arrived at the attorney's office. What is going on? Has anybody seen anything like this haapen?

      Thank you.

The attorney can contact USCIS to get an update. If the case was accepted for premium, then the attorney should have received the receipt notice via email. Check with your employer to see if the premium processing check has been cashed or not. That will give you an idea whether the case has been accepted under premium processing not.

Has anyone in this thread received the receipt, or the receipt number by email?
Please update your status so we can estimate USCIS's process time.

I just got my email receipt yesterday. Turned out that my lawyer filed my application late.
If you haven't received the email receipt, check with your lawyer whether he filed it using first class mail. He might not admit it but it's possible. Of course there's a chance that USCIS processed your application too slowly.

USCIS received my application on Sep 1 and emailed the receipt either on Sep 1 or Sep 2. You receipt number should have arrived in email long time ago. You should contact your lawyer/employer to figure out what happened. If your lawyer/employer hasn't received anything from USCIS, they should call USCIS. Also, if you're lucky enough your case might have been approved already.

I have not yet received receipt. I checked with the lawyers and they say I should get it some time this week. They are not sure of the delay.

                          Hi,

I received the receipt# from my employer today reg.. my H1B transfer case. Unfortunately it went in RFE and online status is showing as below:

"On September 1, 2015, we mailed a request for additional evidence for your Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Receipt Number WAC **** **** . The request for evidence explains what we need from you. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the request for evidence. If you do not receive your request for additional evidence by October 1, 2015, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Has anyone have clue on how long it will take after the response to RFE from employer when filed in PP...?

If filed in premium, it will take another 15 days from the date of receipt of the RFE documents.
