Can I apply for an H4 Visa with an American Marriage Certificate?
Hello,
So I have a slightly unusual problem.
I went to visit my boyfriend (He has an H1 work Visa) in the US on a tourist visa and while I was there we decided to have a registered marriage. So we went ahead and had a Californian Registered Marriage.
Now I'm back and want to apply for an H4 Visa so I can join him.
The problem is all the agents have told me that I can't get an Indian Marriage Certificate based on the American Certificate and hence cannot apply for a change in passport.
Does that mean I cannot apply for an H4 visa at all? Or in my American Marriage Certificate enough for me to get the H4 visa?
Please help.
