Foreign Degree Evaluation

I have a 4 years Bachelors degree in computer science from a university outside US. My employer says that he will give it to a foreign degree evaluation firm.

I just want to know how do these firms verify the degree?

Do they sought for some sort of approval from my university? If yes, then what sort of approval?

Education evaluation firms know how to evaluate your foreign degree. They will validate the certificates that you have provided and will match it to the U.S degree. They do not need any approval from the university, but they can contact the university to evaluate your credentials. If your documents are in order, then you shouldn't be worrying about this.
