H1 Re-stamping appointment dates.

Hello,
The following is my situation. Any assistance is really appreciated.

Situation :
Expired H1 stamp on my passport.
Approved H1-Visa petition.
Want go to India for re-stamping in March. Might not be possible to go later becoz of project deadlines.

Problem :
Long appointment wait period. ( July 2006 )


Possible situation.
H1 - re stamping is eligible for emergency appointment.


Questions :
1. Is it true that my case is eligible for restamping.
2. What is the approximate wait period for emergency appointment.
3. Can I land in India and take the appointment ( planning a 4 week trip ).
4. My spouse is also on H1-B. He will also need a stamp, Is a separate appointment required ?
