DS160 error when filling up Spouse name for H4 applicant, forgot middle name

I was filling up DS160 form for my wife's H4 visa appointment. After submitting the DS160 form on CEAC website and checking the application, I realized that I have omitted my middle name in the following sections

1. Given names of principal applicant
2. Given name of Spouse

My passport has my given name as <first name> <middle name>.

Since I have already submitted the application on CEAC website, I am not able to make any changes to it. However, I have not booked an appointment using the Application ID yet.
I am assuming that I can create a new application, make the corrections, submit that and book an appointment using the new application ID, and disregard the previously submitted application and it's ID.

Do I need to take any action regarding the previously submitted application, even when I haven't booked an appointment using that? Please let me know.

You do not have to take any action on the previous DS160. You can create anew one and take the appointment.
