H1B Amendment and extension

My H1B visa is expiring 09/30/2015.

Because of location change, I was advised for Amendment, and submitted all documents on 07/13/2015 and traveled to India on 07/25/2015 due to some personal issues.

My employer has filed for Amendment+Extension on 09/10/2015.

Since I am India right now, and can't return back as my visa expires today, is it possible for me to get Amendment and extension? or will it get rejected? I still didn't receive receipt number for the application filed on 09/10/2015.

If the amendment was filed with extension, then extension will be denied since you are outside U.S. Amendment might get approved though. It will take about 4-5 months to get the H1B approved unless you upgrade it to premium.
