typical case : regarding H1 - please help

Hi,

Senior members, plz help.

I had my H1 processing done through a consulting company. At the time H1 processing was going on, I got my H4 stamped and came to US.

And the same day i landed in US, my h1 was approved.

Now i am in a dilemma as to what to do. Plz help.

1. Is there any problem with the legal validity of H1?
2.Will there be any problem if i go for H1 stamping in India?
3.Can i apply for a Change of Status from H4 to H1?

you are good to go....

you got your H1 after your H4 stamping... So now you have your valid H1 and you can go to india and get stamped...

my H1 approval is for Chennai consulate.

can i get an appointment at any other consulate

The best thing to avoid of going to India is CHANGE OF STATUS. Talk to your employer, he should help you.
