Does earlier work experience not mentioned matters for H4/ H4 extension?

I am completing H4's first duration of 2 years, we got i797 approval for extension. In my earlier DS160 form for first H4 visa interview, I didn't mention about my temporary research project work experience in India (I was working by then) in the name of school/employer experience details asked in my earlier DS 160 form. I forgot that and mention that work experience in my current DS 160 form for visa extension interview (dates for the interview yet to be scheduled) . Will it be a reason for refusal? do they check your earlier records for the interview? should I appear for the interview with this form or submit a new DS 160 form same as earlier one?
Please advice.

I do not think it will be a problem. But if you have not scheduled the visa interview yet, then you can fill a new DS160 and schedule the interview. But why did you have to hide your work experience at the first place?

Thanks for the reply. As it was temporary contract work, not permanant, so I didn't felt like mentioning it.
