221G Blue Slip - administrative processing

I attended for visa interview process on 30th Oct 2015. After the process VO said like my visa got approved and took the passport and given the pamphlet which contains the US rules. 2nd Nov got mail from travel doc as my passport to ready to collect. On 3rd i went to collect it but instead of passport they given 221G Blue form. In that they ticked as requires additional administrative processing. Can any one tell why it's happens like that.

This is not new. It has happened before. Each case is different, so it is hard to say why you received a 221g. It could be for any reason.

That's Okey. But my doubt is on the day of interview they said it's approved but when i went for passport collection they handover a 221G blue slip. Why so?

Hi Friends,

Happy to update on 17th Nov that my status changed as Issued on "Visa Status check", and received a mail on 18th as passport is ready to pickup.
