H1B renewal stamping in Mexico

Hi,

My current H1B visa expires on 04/21/2006. And i am planning to go for visa renewal stamping in Mexico in march. If my visa is rejected or got query, can i come back to US with my old visa(as it is not expired yet). Please advice me.
