H1b Amendment is in progress

Hi,

My employer filed H1b Amendment due to customer and location change on sep-2 in normal processing. still it is showing as case received

I traveled to india on Dec-1 due to family emergency.

now wondering if I have to wait until my amendment gets approve ? or I can travel as I have valid stamp ?

Please suggest.

It is advisable to wait until the amendment is approved. You can upgrade to premium and get the result within 15 days. But if you have to travel before that, then carry a copy of the new LCA and H1B amendment receipt notice with you. You may have to explain your case to the officer at the POE if there was question about the change in work location.
