Do we need original I797 for h1b visa stamping in India?

My employer has filed for H1B Visa and has recieved I797 C - Approval Notification.

I have a scanned copy of this I797C. I am planning to schedule H1B VISA stamping interview in Mumbai in next few weeks.

Do I need original copies of I797? (also is I797 C and I797 same document?)

Its little confusing because some sites are suggesting to go with original I797 and some say that a copy is fine because all the visa officer needs is a recepit number. Please can someone confirm?

Original I-797 is no longer required.

There will not be an I-797 without any suffix. It will be either I-797A (attached I-94) or I-797B (Approved for Consular process). I-797C is just a courtesy copy.

H1 Stamping using I797C Courtesy Copy?

Hi, My employer only received I797C courtesy copy after my H1B approval. I am waiting from last 2 months to receive the I797 A through mail. Please suggest can I attend visa stamping using courtesy copy? Or do I need to wait until I receive I797 A? Please suggest.
