Accepting remunerations from 3rd party on H1B

I am on an academic H1B visa and have been collaborating with a for-profit company as part of my academic activity. This company wishes to compensate me monetarily. Is there a way for me to accept money under my current VISA status?

NO. When you are in H1B, you should be working and getting paid only by your H1B sponsor.
