H1B re-stamping

My H1B stamped visa on my passport and I-94 expired in Sept 2015 but I had it extended under a new sponsor in Sept 2015 which is valid through Sept 2016. How many days can I stay in US before going for the re-stamping? Also, can I go for the re-stamping when the amendment process is still in progress?

>>> You can stay as long as your I-94 remains valid. Visa is only an entry document to U.S. You don't need a valid visa to stay in the country. You need a valid visa to be stamped in your passport only when you enter U.S.

Also, can I go for the re-stamping when the amendment process is still in progress?
