Hi Team,
On April 1st 2015 company Y filed H1B visa for me and i have got the petition. I am having an active L1-B visa with Company X and after applying for H1-B i have travelled to USA in June-2015. So its a Fresh H1-B and not a COS.
Currently i am in USA and i would like to shift to the company which filed my H1. Can you please clarify me on below points:
1) If i want to transfer to H1-B do i need to travel to home country and get the visa stamped? Is there a possiblity of shifting to H1-B without going for H1 Visa stamping now?
2) If Visa stamping is mandatory do i need to travel to Home country or can i get it stamped from Canada / Mexico?
3) When i go for H1 Stamping, does Visa officer cancels my L1-B? if my H1-B is approved its fine but if my H1-B is rejected in that case also will Visa officer cancel my L1-B? Basically dont want to end up in a situation where both L1 and H1 visas are cancelled and i can't work in USA.
Thanks in advance.
