Hi,
I have been working with my current employer since last 8 years, 7 years at offshore and in 2014 they filed my H1 B so I joined them at US office in 2015. They have also initiated my GC process and in next month they are about to file PERM. I have to now travel back to India and due to some family matters I may have to stay there for 6 months, my employer will not have any issue if I work from their offshore office for 6 months but they will not be able to continue my pay roll in US instead they will pay me offshore salary in my India's bank account.
Will my 6 months stay in India affect my H1 status and GC process? Is there any way that my 6 months stay in India does not affect my GC process? Please advise
