H4 VISA interview while passport is near to expire

Hi

I am planning for H1B visa interview next week and take my wife along with me for H4 visa. My wife's passport is going to expire in another 10 months. Will she be able to get a VISA stamped on her passport? If yes, with in how many days she need to travel to US?

After VISA get stamped on old passport, can she apply for a new passport and then travel to US?

I dont think the 10 Month expiry would be a reason to not give her a L2 to match your L1 duration.

Yes, she can apply for new passport and still travel to US on visa in old passport, visa is not tied to passport validity. She would need to carry both old and new passport.
