I am on H1 visa which is stamped till 3/31/2017. However my i94 is expiring on 10/10/2016 due to passport expiry date.
I want to apply for change of status from H1 to L1A. My question is if my L1A application gets approved, will I get new i94 date (based on petition approval date) or will it be same as current i94 date (10/10/2016) or will my petition be approved till my current i94 date only.
I will appreciate help on this question. based on which I will be able to submit my application for L1A, since I want to solve both issues - extend my i94 date and status change to L1A.
