"Administrative Processing" H1B and H4 via Dropbox JAN 2016

Hello,

I have submitted my passport at New Delhi on 19th Jan 2016 for H1B Dropbox and then for my wife on 27th Jan 2016 for H4 Dropbox.
On 29th Jan 2016, status shows "Administrative processing"
I called Help Desk and they said if Consulate need any information then they will contact you.
Now, I do not understand why it went in "Administrative processing" as I have been working permanent Employee in US.
I have done Visa stamping last year.i.e. there are two time successful stamping.

I had travel date to US on 6th Feb 2016 and looks like it will be impacted.

Any feedback in this regard will be helpful that "Administrative processing" is normal or not.

May i know the status of your application ? I lived in USA for 11 years (3 H1B stampings in Hyd) and i came for my visa stamping and i dropped my documents for H1B extension in Hyd consulate on Jan 19th, 2016. On Jan 27th,i got an update saying mine is under administrative processing without asking any documents and there is no way i can expedite the status. My wife and my son are in the USA and i am very worried. I saw your case and looked like we both have a similar profile. SO just checking the update on your case ?
