Using H1b appointment date for L1?

Hi All,

I've a h1b interview scheduled on April 7th in Chennai. Meanwhile, I see a chance that I may get a tranfer to US from my own company.

So instead of having a new appointment (which will be quite ahead from April), cant I use the same appointment?

Please advise... I hope there is way to do it.
