H-4 Stamping (is there any problem with expired H1 visa)

Hi

My Wife is going for H-4 visa stamping on June 16th. Currently she is in US with me . Both My Visa (H1) and her visa (H4) expires this May 2006. I got my H1 Extension and its valid for next 1 year. She is visiting India this June. Do I need to have unexpired visa while she's going for the stamping. I am not going this time.
