My company filed for an H1B transfer (new) petition with start date 1st March. I want to start working with the receipt number, but not until 7th March. My question is for how long can I work for my old employer A after the petition state date of 1st March? Can I delay my joining with the new company for 1 week from the petition start date? My old company H1B is valid all the time and I am on status. Is there a rule that I need to be working from exactly the date mentioned on the petition?
